凡事都有定期，天下万务都有定时。
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
生有时，死有时。栽种有时，拔出所栽种的，也有时。
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
杀戮有时，医治有时。拆毁有时，建造有时。
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
哭有时，笑有时。哀恸有时，跳舞有时。
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
抛掷石头有时，堆聚石头有时。怀抱有时，不怀抱有时。
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
寻找有时，失落有时。保守有时，舍弃有时。
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
撕裂有时，缝补有时。静默有时，言语有时。
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
喜爱有时，恨恶有时。争战有时，和好有时。
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
这样看来，作事的人在他的劳碌上有什么益处呢？
What does the worker gain from his toil?

有时就是佛所说无常，人生本是有时与无常的，这是人生的本质。

若是欢乐有时，痛苦并不是永久的，

若是痛苦有时，欢乐必将结束，

记住有时，珍惜有时，所渡过的不过是这样一个又一个的有时。

它们必将消逝。如同时间与生命的消失。
